Geolocation

  • Create a List or Snapshot Report by Geolocation. User interactions (opens and clicks) with your communications are automatically tracked and ranked by geolocation, and can be used to generate lists. Geolocated lists can be created using the query builder. Within the query builder, select geolocated city, state or country from the criteria drop-down. User locations are defined by the relative number of times they engage with their emails in a given location. The categories of location are defined as follows:
Residency Percentage of interactions in location
Majority >50%
Frequent >25%
Occasional >10%
Ever visited >1%

To define a region for geolocation, fill in the appropriate value in the value field and submit your action for list or snapshot report generation. The proper syntax for the proper field is shown below.

Type Format Example
Country COUNTRY US
State State COUNTRY NY US
City City, State COUNTRY Chicago, IL US

It's "city, state_initials US" for US cities and "city, region_code country_abbreviation" for international cities. Some examples:

New York City would be "New York, NY US". DC would be "Washington, DC US". London is "London, H9 GB". Email support@sailthru.com with any questions.
